Safety

Safety leads every decision.

From planning and excavation to project completion, safety guides every action we take. By combining experienced crews, well-maintained equipment, and disciplined procedures, we protect people, infrastructure, and the communities we serve while delivering reliable results.

How we run a site

Six things that do not flex.

Locate first, always

The first step of every dig is confirming Miss Utility markings and underground utility records. A successful excavation plan begins with understanding existing infrastructure.

Correct PPE, every frame

Hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection, gloves and high-visibility clothing on every crew member on every site, including short calls. Water-resistant or full-body protective suits and respiratory protection where the work requires it.

Traffic control that fits the road

Every work zone is planned for the conditions on the ground, protecting crews, motorists, and the public while keeping traffic moving safely.

Nobody in an open hole

The excavation is opened and worked from the surface. Entry is a separate, planned operation.

Spoil and water contained

Every excavation is managed with a clear plan for spoil and water handling. Material stays contained, transported, and disposed of in accordance with project requirements.

Daily walk and hand-back

The site is walked at the end of the shift and handed back in a condition we would accept.

Before the truck rolls

These are practices, not promises.

When a site cannot be run safely and according to plan, the decision is made before deployment, not after excavation starts.
